1 way to write an amazing new post when you run out of blogging ideas
Thu, 04 Dec 2008 22:07:46 -0600

I have never been much of a blogger. I like to write. I really do. But I have consistently failed in my quest for a 'niche'
I like to stumble also. A lot. But there are so many 2.0 sites & social networks around... That's more than enough to do the trick.
Quite often, when running out of inspiration, foolish ideas pop up in mind. None of them had me get the long awaited sparkle & insight.
I have been neglecting my blog. Some of you, dear readers, I kept in touch with amidst social networks. The others I deserted. Sadly. I really do apologize for that. I didn't meet a true calling here. My blogging days might be over 'as is'.

One of my dear friends, Joolz, (never call her Muschi, she might bite you) who runs a great -but underrated- french blog named "de Tia à moi" had a genius idea lately.
Being what I consider a TV & music freak (no offense intended, I as well do indulge in such bulimia, despite an obvious contempt towards corporate media), amongst other things (she's also a painter, a geekette, and so many many things) she happened to grow fonder of a young pop/rock band -Anesa- whose lead singer made an appearance in the french version of the National Idol reality show (aka Star Academy). Well apparently this guy (name's Harold) & his crew are worth way more than that...
Joolz made me discover them in a recent blog post she simply called "Anesa, the return of french rock & roll", a very well written piece, enthusiastic yet impartial...
Let's be honest, she's a natural. I mean a good blogger.
She speaks an excellent english too. But she only writes in french so far. When you pay a visit to her blog, just ask her to make it bilingual. I hear Björn, her long since life partner & technical advisor, is reluctant to the idea of building a 2 idiom interface... That is sad. Let's be a lobbying force here !
Well, let's not get carried away. Back to the initial point.
The genius idea was to send Anesa a set of really good questions. These guys eagerly obliged in giving Joolz an interview via e-mail, and here's the result :
Well that's the bottomline here. She had a very simple blogging idea. Simple, original, daring & refreshing. Nice. Simply nice.

In this age of lightspeed communication, blogs can be this awesome. Their authors too, but let's not say that aloud. Some celebrities are great too. Especially those in their prime, career wise, getting free and unbiased exposure. A true win-win thing actually...
I admire awesome when I see it... Well done gal pal ! Keep up the excellent blogging.

"Artwork inspired by the mysteries and marvels of science." wonderful images
Sat, 06 Sep 2008 06:18:06 -0500

"I am often very inspired by science - books on popular science and maths, documentaries, and of course rubbish sci fi films. Here is some of the artwork inspired by the mysteries and marvels of science." The wonderful image is an original drawing by the artist Masonic Boom, aka Kate St.Claire, as part of her series of "science"
